Summary

• Apioly is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not operate a cloud service for your hive data, and we do not sell your information.

• No account is required to use the app.

• Your hive and trip data stays on your device unless you export it.

• Location is used only to calculate trip distance; we do not store raw GPS routes.

• No third-party ads at launch. If that changes, we’ll update this policy. 
   If ads are introduced later, they will comply with Google Play’s Families and Ads policies.


Data We Collect

• By default, Apioly does not transmit personal data to our servers.

• On-device hive records: inspections, notes, custom criteria, colors, etc. are stored locally in the app’s database.

• Mileage summaries: when you track a trip, we store the distance, date/time, source (manual or GPS), and your optional description. We do not store your route or raw GPS points.

• Crash/diagnostics: your app store (e.g., Google Play) may collect anonymous crash logs per your device settings. 
   We do not collect or control this data directly; it is handled by the Google Play Store under their privacy policies.



App Permissions

• Location: Required to track trip distance. On Android 11+, “Allow all the time” enables background tracking while the screen is off. 
You can keep using Apioly without granting this, but mileage features will be limited.

• Camera: Used to scan and generate QR codes for hives/apiaries.

• Storage / Photos & media: Used when you export backups or reports (CSV, Excel, PDF) and QR code PDFs.

• Network:Used for purchase validation and to share files via apps you choose. We do not upload your hive or mileage data to our servers.

You can change permissions anytime in your device settings.


How We Use Location

• When you start a trip, Apioly samples location to calculate distance traveled.

• We keep only the resulting distance and timestamps in your local database. Route points are discarded after distance is calculated.

• On Android 11+, choose “Allow all the time” to continue distance calculation with the screen off.
   

Subscriptions & Purchases

• Apioly has an optional monthly or yearly subscription with a 30-day free trial for new customers.

• Purchases are processed by your app store (e.g., Google Play Billing). We do not receive your full payment details.

• Trials, cancellations, and refunds are managed by the app store provider.

• We may store a local “Pro active” flag on your device to unlock features.

 
Data Sharing

• We do not sell your personal information.

• Data is only shared when you choose to export or share files via other apps on your device.


Data Retention & Control

• Local by default: your hive and mileage data remain on your device unless you export it.

• Backups/exports are yours: store them securely; we do not keep a copy.

• Delete Data: You can delete records in the app. Uninstalling the app removes the local database on your device.


Children’s Privacy

• Apioly is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
  
Changes to This Policy

• We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above and may show in-app notices for           significant changes.
